Spring Clean your Loft Conversion Interior

When the weather starts to turn warmer and brighter, it’s time to throw off those warm
woollen throws and thick bedspreads and give your interior design a spring clean. This means out with the winter textures and warm additions to your home, and in with the new season’s fresh colours and prints.

Is it time you freshened up the interior design of your loft conversion? Walthamstow homeowners wishing to add some lighter touches now that the long, dark days are coming to an end can draw inspiration from our favourite springtime loft conversion ideas.

Fresh and Green

Did you know that one of Pantone’s colours of the year this year is ‘greenery’? It’s a fresh yellow tinged green, which is meant to evoke the heady days of spring. You may find this exact shade of green a little difficult to incorporate into interiors, as it’s quite a vibrant colour, but you can certainly add touches of it in the likes of scatter cushions and framed leafy prints on the walls.

Alternatively, why not use slightly fresher shades of green to invite spring into your home? A bright, grassy green will work well as a feature wall, or as bold flashes of colour throughout the likes of bedspreads and bedside lamps.

Totally Tropical

Tropical prints are going to be big this spring. Of course, using prints of birds or foliage will always give a springtime feel to a room.

But why not take this a step further? Use a bright royal or sky blue on a feature wall to represent sunny days ahead, then if you have a floor to ceiling window in your loft conversion, deck this out with a bold print of a tropical bird such as a flamingo. It’s a very strong, courageous look to pull off that’s for certain, but if done well it can really add the wow-factor to your loft conversion.

Whiter than White

White is a great choice for the spring, as it immediately freshens up a room. White also works particularly well in a loft conversion as it helps to bounce around the natural light and makes awkward nooks and crannies appear bigger.

If you feel white wouldn’t be a practical choice for your loft conversion walls, why not team it with one of the aforementioned greens or blues as your colour of choice for your furniture? There’s nothing more inviting than a fresh, white bedspread and this type of focal point will give your loft conversion an immediate interior design spring clean. Why not contact Bespoke Lofts if you’re thinking of a spring loft conversion?
